Starfish Swim School
The Starfish Swim School™ is based on a core
skills teaching model. The core skills are
divided into 5 color levels: White, Red, Yellow,
Blue and Green. The Starfish Swim School™
curriculum consists of courses containing age
appropriate activities that focus on development
of core swimming competencies, as well as safety
skills specific to each level.
About Our Swim Instructors
All of our Starfish Instructors are dedicated to
teaching safety and survival swim techniques
while maintaining a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
Aside from the initial training required to
begin the Swim Program, our Starfish Instructors
must attend monthly in-service training
sessions, which allows them the opportunity to
grow and improve their teaching skills.
The Starfish Instructors are also lifeguard
certified through ASHI and attend lifeguard
specific training sessions to improve their life
saving skills.

SeaSprites™ (Ages 3-5)
Designed to meet the needs of pre-schoolers,
this class will develop a high comfort in the
water, a readiness to swim, and for those
children who are developmentally ready, teach
beginning swim skills. Approaches teaching
skills through creative and fun activities in
the water.
Monday and Wednesdays 9:30am-10am

SeaStars™ (Ages 6-8)
Combines swimming and adventure learning
activities to provide an exciting and unique
curriculum. Children progress at individual
rates with the opportunity to learn core
swimming skills and progress to advanced
strokes. Must be 5 years of age and must be Level
Red or above to enroll in SeaStars™.
Mondays and Wednesday 10am-10:45am

SwimStars™ (Ages 9 & older)
Swimmers progress through exciting skill modules
that combine core swimming skills, water safety,
water sports and adventure learning activities.
Learning is self-paced but challenging.
Mondays and Wednesdays 10:45am-11:30am

Awards Ceremony and Pizza Party, August 4th
We are inviting parents and grandparents to view your child’s progress on Thursday, May 27. All participants will have an opportunity to show off their skills to their parents! We will be ending the lesson with a Pizza Party and Awards Ceremony where we will hand out the appropriate patches.
